Terms and Conditions
The information presented was compiled from many sources which we consider reliable -
direct contacts with the condominiums and hotels, information publicly available, personal
on-site surveys, and many other sources also considered reliable. However, we are not
responsible for errors or omissions. Any corrections should be forwarded to us and
appropriate corrections will be made. All rates indicated are the best available at the time
of publication and are subject to change without notice. Rates should be confirmed at the
time of reservation. The effective dates of the rates shown are given for each complex.
Again, please remember that these are still subject to change.
LISTED RATES
As of publication, we have listed, to the best of our ability, the most current rates
available. It is suggested that rates be verified at time of reservation. All rates shown
are in U.S. Dollars.
TAX
If you are using our online availability and pricing system, all rates will include
all applicable tax/service.
The tax/service shown includes add-ons, such as room tax, bed tax, credit card service
charges, property service and cancellation charges, and other non-specific miscellaneous
fees. The tax/service percentage is subject to change with no notice, even once you have paid in
full. The State of Hawaii has in the past changed the tax
rates with as little as two weeks notice as well as retroactively.
The prices shown for each complex are the published rates or lower from one of the major
on-site or near-by management companies. Rates of units obtained from other sources will
vary slightly, either higher or lower.
BOOKING & PAYMENT POLICIES
ALL PAYMENTS FOR ALL CONDOMINIUMS, HOTELS AND CAR RENTALS MUST BE MADE TO HAWAII
CONNECTION (NOT to the properties). Payment can be by check (only if received 21 or more
days in advance), certified check or by credit card. We offer a 2% cash discount for payment
by check. Please deduct your 2% discount when sending payment. We will need a signature
before we can disburse vouchers. Late booking fees may apply. Vouchers can only be mailed to
the address of record of the credit card holder.
HAWAII CONNECTION is a custom vacation company. As such, all reservations must be paid in
full prior to the time of travel. Prepayment, however, should not be confused with
non-refundable. If for any reason you should become dissatisfied with the accommodations,
you may check-out and request a refund. All refunds will be made to our company and we will
forward the refund to you. Minimum stay requirements (which vary from 1 day to 1 week from
property to property) will apply. Some properties may have no refund policies even if you
are unsatisfied. Waiving of these minimum requirements is at the sole discretion of the
property. You should have an understanding in writing from the property at the time of
check-out of the refund that will be made. However, refunds can only be made for nights
unused. In some instances, unused nights are totally non-refundable. In cases of a dispute
of a refund, the decision of management will be final.
COMPLAINTS/PROBLEMS
On the very few occasions when you encounter problems during your stay due to such things
as changes in flight schedules, illness, unit discrepancies, etc., you should immediately
contact the rental agent. We suggest that, if you are not satisfied or if a refund or other
adjustment is promised, you should obtain a clear written understanding of the pertinent
agreements. You should give the property every opportunity to rectify the situation.
Management companies are committed to do everything reasonable (and in many cases
unreasonable) to satisfy your needs. If they are not aware of a problem, they can not solve
it. The problem cannot be solved after you have returned IF you have not taken action at the
time with the management to rectify the situation. All requests for refunds and/or
adjustments must be received, in writing, no later than 30 days after travel is completed.
Refund requests received more than 30 days after travel is completed will not be processed.
Phoning us does not protect your rights. No refund or rate adjustment can be made for nights
used without prior approval.
ACCOMMODATION CHANGES
In very, very rare circumstances, it is sometimes necessary to change or cancel your
accommodations. We reserve the right to do so. If this becomes necessary, we will do our
best to advise you as far in advance as possible. If we are unable to obtain a suitable
accommodation, our liability is limited to a refund of the amount you have paid. We will not
be responsible or reimburse you for the loss of enjoyment, disappointment, or expense
arising to you from any such cancellation or change.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation policies vary widely with each property. A good general rule is a three
night cancellation penalty. We will let you know at the time of booking if a stricter
penalty is enforced. A full refund of all monies paid is generally available if cancellation
is made 45 days prior to scheduled arrival (Christmas holiday period by October 1). No shows
and early departure refunds are solely at the discretion of the management companies.
Condominium programs, however, are NOT like hotel programs in that the condominium that has
been reserved for you has been set aside. The owner of the unit depends on the reservations
for his unit income, and the management company may be required by contractual agreement
with the owner to offer no refund. All refund decisions by us are final. We recommend trip cancellation insurance which can be purchased in your local marketplace.
Once you have arrived, any changes requiring financial adjustments (additional payments
or refunds) must be made with the local rental agent AT THE TIME THE CHANGE IS REQUESTED.
HAWAII CONNECTION can not handle these changes once you have arrived, and you should clearly
understand the financial arrangements you have made with the rental agent AT THE TIME THE
CHANGE IS MADE. No refunds can be made for nights used.
DEPOSIT
HAWAII CONNECTION requires a 3 night (or more for some properties) deposit with each
booking. We will let you know the exact requirements for your specific booking. In general,
we require a 3 night deposit within 7 days and full pre-payment 45 days prior. However, we
do vary these policies depending upon seasonal issues and property availability.
